Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Victor had an interest in music from about the age of 5. As the youngest of 5 siblings, he was most influenced by his sister, who sang all around the house. She participated in talent shows in school and the local area. She was unaware that Victor was watching her so closely but it was through seeing her that he became captivated with singing and developed his love of music.
He joined the choir at 12th Baptist Church in Boston when he was 16 years old. This is where he began to truly enjoy music. In addition to the music he was involved with at the church he was totally engrossed with other styles of music, especially rhythm and blues and Hip Hop.
Victor performed in his school’s talent show as a member of a group called 24 Karat. After graduating, they performed in and around Boston. Later his best friend suggested they move to Miami, Florida to pursue a professional singing career with another one of their friends. Nothing ever came of that and Victor moved on into the realities of adulthood—falling away from music for a time.
Years later Victor found himself empty and needing to fill the void he felt. At that time Victor found his way back to music— coming full circle back to the joy he had found in his youth—singing for his Creator, Savior, and Lord. As his journey back to God continued he was asked to become the worship leader for First Baptist Church of Plantation and eventually became part of the contemporary gospel trio, Three16.
Like his fellow group members, Victor is deeply grateful that the Lord saved him, carried him through, and then revealed this plan for his life. He is truly humbled that God has chosen to use him and allowed him to sing praises to His name—in spite of his weaknesses. His goal is to grow closer to God and seek His will in his life.
