Shirall

Shirall was born in South Carolina to a family with talent on both sides. They started her out with music from the time she was in the crib. Her family literally placed a radio in her baby bed and she began to make noises to the sounds she heard.

Her first solo was at the age of 5, as part of an Easter Sunday program. She was very scared and shy about getting up to sing in front of so many people, other than family. After a brief “chat” with her grandmother in the ladies room she was never afraid to sing in front of crowds again. “I was more afraid of my grandmother!” But her grandmother’s ‘encouragement’ was all she needed to get past the hurdle of singing in public.

Shortly after that she joined the elementary school choir and continued all the way through high school. She won numerous awards for her singing. She entered countless talent shows and landed a part time job as a night club singer at age 25. Around that time I entered a talent show and won a recording session to record in Nashville, TN. She refused to go because she has small children and was afraid of any success and did not want to be away from her children. There also came a point where she just preferred to not sing secular music and just sing at her church, St. Mark Baptist Church in Dillon, SC until moving to Florida. She then joined the church and began sharing her talent at First Baptist Church of Plantation. It was there that Three16 began.

Shirall marvels that God works in such mysterious ways—in the fact He gave her another chance to go to Nashville, TN, ten years later. Getting the opportunity to finally record has been a thrill—especially since the music she was able to share also lets her share her love of her Lord and Savior.
